When Sita went missing

When Sita was abducted by Ravana, Lakshmana became restless and sad; he was afflicted by thick of emotions. But, Rama stood on the rock unmindful. He was calm. This contradictory demeanor had shuddered Lakshmana wholly.

“Brother, your wife is missing, but still you look relaxed!”- Asked Lakshmana, angrily.

“What is that made you restive, brother?”- Rama asked.

“My sister in law had been taken away.’- Said Lakshmana.

“In truth, you and your sister in law are two separate entities, but what is that making you bound together?’- Asked Rama.

Lakshmana remained silent.

‘What is that relating you together?’- Asked Rama, again.

Younger brother continued his silence.

‘It is nothing else but your mind, only your mind and its imagery that Sita is your sis-in-law are binding you together. And this bondage of mind is what that is taking away your calmness from you.’- Said Rama.

Lakshmana rose up convincingly.

“Anything in this world has no relation with anything else. It is the fact Lakshmana. It is your mind that binds you.” Said Rama.

Lakshmana regained his vigor.

‘Realize this truth and calm your mind so that you could fully concentrate in regaining Sita back from the clutches of demons.’ Rama took his bow and shot a divine arrow into the sky.
